The Datacenter Group acquired by DWS

Torch Partners has acted as the sole financial adviser to The Datacenter Group (“TDCG”) on its majority sale to DWS Alternatives Global Limited (“DWS Infrastructure”).

Established in 2007, TDCG is a leading independent datacentre service provider in the Netherlands. The company operates four high-quality sites with c.29MW of power capacity and more than 100 clients. TDCG’s facilities are highly interconnected allowing clients to connect directly to each other as well as to Europe’s major Internet Exchange Points such as AMS-IX and NL-IX, both of which have Point of Presence in TDCG’s facilities.

DWS Infrastructure is part of DWS Group & GmbH Co KgaA, the independent listed asset manager, which is majority-owned by Deutsche Bank AG. DWS Infrastructure had c.EUR 18.4 billion of AuM as of December 2018. The EUR 2.1 billion Pan-European Infrastructure Fund (“PEIF”) raised by DWS Infrastructure in 2007 has been successfully invested in twelve energy and transportation companies across the UK, Germany, Spain and Austria. The firm is currently investing PEIF II, a EUR 2.6 billion fund raised in 2016.
