Interogo on its equity investment into CityFibre

Torch Partners has acted as exclusive financial adviser to Interogo Holding on its equity investment in CityFibre. The investment forms part of a broader £1.125bn financing package secured by CityFibre. The investment was made alongside Mubadala Investment Co, and both Mubadala and Interogo Holding will join CityFibre’s existing investors Antin Infrastructure Partners and the Infrastructure business within Goldman Sachs Asset Management, as minority shareholders.

CityFibre is the UK’s largest independent full fibre wholesale platform with existing networks in more than 60 towns and cities. CityFibre provides connectivity to multiple business and consumer service providers, local authorities and mobile operators. The investment will support and accelerate CityFibre’s rollout to a third of the UK market by 2025, spanning 285 cities, towns and villages with a plan to cover up to 8 million homes. CityFibre has secured long-term volume commitments from Vodafone, TalkTalk and Zen, as well as mobile operator 3UK and supports 24 smaller regional consumer ISPs, alongside over 1,800 business ISPs and resellers. CityFibre is also exploring opportunities to participate in Building Digital UK’s (BDUK) ‘Project Gigabit’ rural programme.

Interogo Holding is a foundation-owned investment group based in Switzerland with investments across private equity, long-term equities, real estate, infrastructure and liquid assets.
